In Italian the verb 'potere' means 'can' but only when it means having permission/having the possibility of doing something. If you want to say you 'can ' do something because you learnt it the verb to use is 'sapere' (to have a knowledge of). Quindi, sapere o potere?1.Ho mal di denti, non parlare.
2.(tu) nuotare?
3.Oggi non venire al cinema perché ho da fare.
4.(Lei) Scusi, che ore sono?
5.Francisco lavora in Catalogna ma non una parola di catalano.
6.(voi) chiamare la polizia? Non ho il telefono.
7.No, mia figlia non venire in piscina, non sa nuotare.
8.Se non vanno in macchina prendere il treno.
9.(noi) Non dove abita Paola.
10.(noi) venire a casa tua oggi?
11.(voi) giocare a bridge?
